| The Barn |
| I know it seems silly to have a page totally dedicated to "The Barn" - but in all honestly...the barn is undoubtedly an often ignored and under-appreciated part of the horse world. I have slowly been taking over an old cattle barn located on my parents farm. Little by little, and with tons of assistance from my dad and husband - we've converted the old barn into a presentable stable. So I have to say a huge "THANK YOU" to Mom and Dad :) - for being so great about leasing their property and letting horses run all over it! It's my little piece of heaven where my heart runs free. I also need to say Thank you to my sweetie - Taggart - he had no idea that once the barn was done that he'd seldom see me at home. (We all know that there is ALWAYS a stall to clean in the horse barn!) |
| Now with all that out of the way - I'll tell you about the barn! This old barn was strategically placed in the lowest spot of the property some 30 years ago. It typically was more like a swamp than a barn. I decided to invest in the StableGrids and build stalls - and BOY am I thrilled with the results. Here's some pictures of us installing the grids as well as some pictures taken after the stalls/floor was done. NO - I don't sell these things and I get no kickbacks. This is just GREAT stuff that I would recommend to anyone. My stalls stay level and dry - no more digging holes! Easy to use and install.
